Friday

Preaching Team arrives.

Preaching Team meets with Parish Planning Team in the evening.

Preaching Team meets with Parish Planning Team in the morning.

Preaching Team preaches at Saturday evening Mass and invites people to the Mission.

 

Saturday

Retreat participants arrive for coffee and doughnuts. 

First Celebration takes place in the morning.

Time for personal or small group reflection follows the celebration.

Lunch

Second Celebration takes place in the afternoon.

Time for personal or small group reflection follows the celebration.

Dinner

Third Celebration takes place in the evening.

Sunday

Preaching Team preaches at Sunday Masses and invites people to the Mission

First Celebration takes place that evening.

A Children's Liturgy of the Word may take place during the celebration.

Participants are invited to share their own reflections with those seated around them.

A reception may be held after the Celebration.

The Preacher and the Parish Planning Team may meet for a short conversation about how things went.

Sunday

Fourth and Last Celebration takes place in the morning. If it is a Mass, it should take place at one of the parishes regular Sunday Masses.

If the Fourth and Last Celebration is not a Mass, the Preaching Team may preach at the last Mass on Sunday morning.

A reception may be held after Mass for those on the retreat.

The Preacher and the Parish Planning Team may meet for a short conversation about how things went.

Monday

Second Celebration takes place that evening.

Preachers might also preach at weekday morning Mass, visit the homebound or school children if there is a parish school.

A Children's Liturgy of the Word may take place during the celebration.

Participants are invited to share their own reflections with those seated around them.

A reception may take place after the Celebration.

The Preacher and the Parish Planning Team may meet for a short conversation about how things went.

Monday

The preachers depart.

Tuesday

Third Celebration takes place that evening

Preachers might also preach at weekday morning Mass, visit the homebound or school children if there is a parish school.

A Children's Liturgy of the Word may take place during the celebration.

Participants are invited to share their own reflections with those seated around them.

A reception may take place after the Celebration.

The Preacher and the Parish Planning Team may meet for a short conversation about how things went.

Retreat Options

The retreat could begin Friday evening and end Saturday evening, in which case, the meeting with the Parish Planning Team would meet late afternoon and the First Celebration would take place on Friday evening, the Second Celebration on Saturday morning, the Third Celebration on Saturday afternoon, and the Fourth and Last Celebration on Saturday evening.

Wednesday

Fourth and Last Celebration takes place that evening.

Preachers might also preach at weekday morning Mass, visit the homebound or school children if there is a parish school.

A Children's Liturgy of the Word may take place during the celebration.

Participants are invited to share their own reflections with those seated around them.

A collection may be taken up to help cover the costs associated with the Mission.

A reception should take place after the last Celebration.

The Preacher and the Parish Planning Team may meet for a short conversation about how things went.

Thursday

The preachers depart.

Donations, but not a registration fee, may be collected to cover some of the costs associated with the Retreat.

 

Mission Options

If the Mission cannot begin on Sunday evening, the First Celebration would be on Monday evening, the Second on Tuesday evening, the Third on Wednesday evening and the Fourth and Final celebration would be on Thursday evening.
